EVENT DETAILS:

Women in Technology (WIT) peer group is thrilled to invite you attend our coming event “Strategies For a Hybrid World”. We will be discussing the new hybrid work model’s benefits, challenges and strategies to make it successful.

Speaker: Michelle Massey- TechSmith

Michelle Massey - Serves as the vice president of community outreach and customer operations for TechSmith. Massey has over 25 years of information technology industry experience, along with extensive experience in community engagement, business operations, corporate planning, support, and proposal development.

Before joining TechSmith, Massey worked at Dewpoint, where she was responsible for business development, marketing, and charitable contributions. Massey assisted in managing Dewpoint’s overall brand and the organization’s corporate image through marketing, public relations, and community involvement.

Overview:

Hybrid Work Model Is Here To Stay! The COVID-19 global pandemic brought on a transformation that shook the very idea of how we work to its core. The traditional 9-5 with a two-way long commute was no longer the norm for a sizable chunk of the working population around the world. No longer was it safe to simply have employees commute and cluster into a centralized office space to do their work; the idea of how we should work, and for that matter, where we should work, fundamentally changed over the course of this unrestrained period in human history. As many would argue against the advantages of remote or hybrid work based on very cogent reasons, these arguments often overlook the need for a balanced approach to successfully implement either a remote or hybrid workplace. The hybrid work model, in particular, is one that’s appealing to many employees and employers as they prepare to return to the office.

Thanks for registering and we are looking forward to seeing you!

"I love the peer groups that CAITC has established. I love that I can connect, network, and learn from local IT professionals in my field. I also appreciate connecting with peer groups that I don’t always identify with and learn about opportunities to support and advocate for others. Thank you CAITC for building this community, both in person and virtually!"

"As a founding member of the Capital Area IT Council, our small IT firm has benefitted immensely from our continued participation in the CAITC. I have personally benefitted from CAITC-sponsored training programs, such as the IT Project Management course that I attended, which in turn has helped me to better manage clients/projects and generate new business for my company, while also creating new opportunities to grow professionally."
